Jenni's Happy Hour

Last Thursday was Jenni's last day at Schwan's so we went to The Pub after work and had a couple rounds with her.


When I started in Food Service, Jenni was on my team and taught me a lot about the department and simply how to do my job!

I will miss her very much, but she's promised to keep in touch - and I'm holding her to it!

Riding Along

Very busy at work this week, and the season is only starting... thought I would jump back to yester-year once again, to when a rough day simply involved riding along with a good friend!

Costume's of Yester-Year 1 & 2

This month, on Fridays, I will be sharing some of my favorite Halloween costumes of yester-year. I finally got them all scanned last night, so I will make up for last Friday today also.

The picture above isn't really one of my favorites, but there is a distinctive Halloween memory... I was a cat! I had more trouble that year with getting my tail inside the car, very memorable - plus Jared made the cutest little Oreo!!!

This one I loved! I was a Rocker! Please note the earrings, they were my favorite part! I got the earrings at a thrift store on my way to the cities to see my cousin Lisa, and I was soooo excited to wear them! Haha, my taste was impeccable!

I had a few people at my house that morning, so I thought it was a great opportunity for a big breakfast - Chris was very greatful! The french toast was wonderful, and definately something we will make again!

Dork Day

With Homecoming going on all around the region right now, I thought I would share one of my favorite Homecoming photos! This was Jared and I dressed up for Dork Day one year. I believe I was in 7th grade, which would have made Jared a 2nd grader.

Fall is Here!

On Sunday, I got into the fall spirit! I absolutely love this season and like to celebrate it in all its glory!


We woke up on Sunday only to see that we had three additional dogs in our yard! The neighbor’s dogs had come over to announce that we had a raccoon in our live trap! So we quickly took them home, mainly so Ruger would come out of hiding! Sorry no pictures with all the chaos!


I decided to jump start fall time with a trip into town for supplies! We got pumpkins, gourds and a wreathe to start with… Ruger loves the gourds! I also snagged some cattails along the road, but haven’t decided what to do with them yet…

After returning the neighbor’s dogs, they stopped by that evening to drop off a few bales of straw and some corn to finish the look! All in all, a great Sunday at home!

She just keeps growing and growing and growing...

Ruger has become such a ginormous puppy! Thought I would post a couple of pictures to update quick... we took these last weekend while out decorating the farm! Hoping that will be tomorrows post!

Ruger is now easily around 45 lbs and no where near done growing, at least that is what we are told. She's only 5 months old and is definately running the show!
