Aubrey's Wedding

On the 17th my beautiful cousin Aubrey married Jimmy. It was a wonderful time, and the first of the cousins to get married on my mom's side of the family. We had a great time celebrating with family! Congratulations Aubrey & Jimmy!!!

Pioneer Village

For my birthday, Chris took me to Pioneer Village in Montevideo. I had never been there and it was nice and local! We had a great day just walking around, I got to take lots of pretty pictures and I got some great smiles outta the man!

This little man has been sweeping pedal pull competitions throughout Southern Minnesota. So proud of you little man!

Fab Find

Most weeknights, you can find Chris watching his shows on the couch with the dog and me in my chair browsing the internet for interesting projects... and ways to decorate a house on a budget. And because I haven't finished any of my projects as of today, I thought I would post one of my favorite finds of the weekend.

A site that I love to snoop around on is Etsy, which is a site that allows users to buy and sell handmade items; it is a very inspiring site that has convinced me I can make cushions (but that is for another post). Anywho... while poking around I stubbled across Whitney Smith's Shop... she has some of the cutest pottery and I just thought I would share some of her work. Enjoy!

The Garage

So, since moving in I have been scavenging every garage sale, thrift store and auction for good finds on furniture. We have had a ton of luck and got some great deals to fill our big empty house, however, most of it has not made it out of the garage!

Many of the items purchased need a little love via paint or upholstry... so that is my intention. Chris however believes we should be able to park our cars in there... who knew!? So, one stipulation set forth this weekend, was that before I am allowed to attend one of my favorite auctions on the 10th... I have to move some of the furniture into the house... this is my task for the week! Wish me luck!

Meet Lucy... this little gal lives next door and tends to terrify Ruger.

While she is pint size... she can be noisy and moves quickly... bound to scare any big dog! Working on some projects this week, hope to post some before and afters!

100th Post...

Today I am posting for the 100th time... seems fitting since it was time for payoff!

The lily out front has started blooming and it is a brilliant white! The previous owner sure had a soft spot for these flowers, but I'm glad she did. Maybe next year we will have to plant some more flowers to add a little variety to these beds. Happy Friday, hope everyone has a fantastic holiday weekend!
